    3. Well Pam this is all I have for John McConnell. He was a brother to my Mary Jane McConnell who was married to Joseph William Law Willoughby. John, born 12 Jul 1871 in Belfast, Ireland. He was a brickmaker in 1900 and 1901 in York, Ontario and a Methodist. Was registered 23 Jun 1916 with Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force, 216th battalion, and listed as 'labourer' on that registration, with Mary Jane as his next of kin. John married Margaret Cranswick (bn abt 1879 in York, Ont.) on 10 Dec 1900 in Toronto, York, Ont. She was the daughter of Fletcher Cranswick (bn 24 Mar 1850 in North Duffield, Yorkshire, England) and Mary Ibbetson (bn abt 1852 in Hammerton, Yorkshire, England).
