I saw a transcription of Mary Austin's gravestone that said she was from County Armagh. That is part of the problem, as the Lowry's all seemed to have the same first names, even though they were from different families. There were two John Lowry's - one married to Mary Austin, and another married to Elizabeth. John and Elizabeth had a son John who married Catherine Hoey. They had a daughter Rachel who married a Davis. I believe the John and Elizabeth Lowry is part of my branch. Ann Lowry, who is listed as a daughter of Robert in the 1821 Irish census, is living with Rachel Davis in 1881. Anyway, it is good to get information from all Lowry relatives, to try and straighten out the tangled vines! It sounds like the Austin's were quite well to do!
