The Halls I know, emigrated from England, some settled in Scarboro, Ontario, later some married and moved further to the West in Ontario, one moved to Saskatchewan or Manitoba, descendants now live in USA. Some married Cowans in Ontario. There is a Bob Cowan on Channel ll TV or 6 maybe CTV, off the air and along with him a ? Hall female, who do the news and interviews in the mornings. Bob Cowan looks like my Hall (Male) family, so I am thinking he may be from my English Family. They may originate in the Hamilton, Ontario Area? I do not know about the ? Hall female. Could we please change the subject line as the topic has strayed far from the 38th Battalion? Perusing the archives of this list and seeing the reference to the 38th may cause people who could help you in your search to just bypass the messages. And those who might be interested in the 38th, but not in your present topic, might get a trifle upset after opening so many messages just to find they have no bearing on the 38th. And one other thing; please, please delete the previous messages when replying! Hitting reply doesn't eliminate all the previous replies or the entire digest, you have to highlight and delete.
