The 1881 Canada Census shows an Eneas Macaulay married to a Jessie with three sons listed, living in Simcoe. See: www.automatedgenealogy.com Ontario birth registrations (#015699)for 1870 show the birth of a Charles Macaulay on 16 June 1870 to Eneas Macaulay and Jessie Hislop of Stayner. I could not locate a marriage for Eneas and Jessie but as this was a Methodist marriage perhaps the record was not filed with the Province of Ontario. The 1891 and 1900 Census of Manitoba don't show an entry for this couple - that I could find. Cheers!
