Dear All-on-List: I've missed this exchange, not having consulted the Simcoe list in recent weeks. Can you tell me if the library has an index to obituaries, by any chance? I'm looking for one for a Richard Applebe (hopelessly varied spellings) of Innisfil who died 17 March, 1884. Lynne Kemp and Diana Gendron, typically patient and helpful Simcoe sleuths, assisted me enormously in tracing the family -but I'm still hoping for an obituary.He died of infection in his legs following a sawmill accident, according to family legend. Lynne kindly looked in the Barrie newspaper for me, with no luck; but I'm stil lhoping that some area newspaper wold have covered either the accident or his obit. Thanks for any comments.
