    3. The 1891 Canada Census shows a Robert Hislop living in Stayner; he was born in Scotland about 1831, a widower, Methodist and living with his brother Alexander Hislop, age 62. There were many persons in the 1891 Census of Canada with the surname Hislop/Hyslop but there was no Robert or Helen who showed living in Manitoba. The spelling on the birth registration for the child of Eneas and Jessie (Hislop) McAuley is given as Macaulay so you might want to also look under that spelling for future searches. ... Cheers! They were burned out in 1881 and migrated to Manitoba in 1883. > Jessie marr. a McAuley (I believe Eneas McAuley, s/o Gilbert and Johanna (Campbell) McAuley. > Thanks, > Dorothy Bell > ***************** > Ten People All Genealogists Should Follow On Twitter: http://tr.im/hBAy > > Simcoe Co.
