His parents are listed as Albert Ladouceur and Catherine Lafleur. This is the info I also found that I went forward with. I have found the marriage of Albert and Catherine in Pointe Claire St Joachim page 13 of 190 indexed by ancestry as Albert la Magerline. I looked further into this and found his parents and her parents.....Catherine Lafleur was listed in the marriage records as Bisolau or Birolau, looking at her father in the same record he is called Birolau.....In one record I believe she is listed as Bilodeau.....Looking farther I found that the correct spelling is Biroleau...Following this family back to the original Biroleau who landed in Quebec he is Pierre Biroleau dit Lafleur as per the PRDH records.....LIke any French family with a dit name, some of the children took it and some didn't.....but I have found in my research that those with a dit name usually only use the "dit" name in Ontario...... .. My French is not the best, and the writing as always is poor, but his parents seem to be Joachim Lamagdeleine Ladouceur (no dit) and Marie Francoise Lebrun (no mention of Lafleur in this record) and Marie Catherine I just can't read the rest http://search.ancestry.ca/iexec/?htx=View&r=5543&dbid=1091&iid=d13p_11050089&fn=Albert&ln=la+Magerline&st=d&ssrc=&pid=8757187 Above is the link for those with access to ancestry.ca or .com Georgina Stratford Ontario ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sharlene Bell-Haussmann" <[email protected]> To: "Simcoe List" <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, August 24, 2009 5:05 PM Subject: [CAN-ONT-SIMCOE] Charles Ladouceur Anybody interested in Charles Ladouceur b.1816 d.1887. m.
