Hello Listers, Does anyone know who Mr. Vallie Lovering is? There is mention of  him from the June 7, 1945 edition of the Orillia Packet & Times. Who were the parents? Thanks, Gwen Cunningham [email protected]

Did that mention indicate a reason for his name being in the paper? The year 1945 is out of range for registrations of death, birth or marriage. However, the 1911 Canada Census shows 69 persons listed with the Lovering surname for Simcoe East and 4 in Simcoe south - but no Vallie or Valerie or Valery among them. However a Google search of the names shows an obituary for a Vallie Lovering of Port Perry, husband of Pat Connell, who died August 10, 2007 at age 79. Another site through Google re the Lovering surname shows that his full name was John Vallie Lovering and he was born in Matchedash on February 14, 1928. Cheers!
