Hi John, You are welcome. I noticed that on the 1861 census for Essa, they give the actual date of marriage of the parents. Since the children are born in Upper Canada, it may help if you check the birthdate of the eldest child to give you a close estimate of when they arrived in Canada. I have found birth locations for parents sometimes in baptismal records. Also, if you find death registrations, especially the later ones, they sometimes give the mother and father's birthplaces. Hopefully, they don't just say 'Ireland'. Yes, I already had the census records, which is why I knew where they lived in Essa. I am trying to identify land records partly to determine when they arrived (and perhaps origin in Ireland).
