I am wondering if there is French, Indian or Jewish blood in these families to explain gluten allergies, or lactose intolerance? I know there is Dutch, Black, Scotch, blood lines. Catt

Francesco sounds Italian. McKinnon is obviously Irish. Lactose intolerance be hereditary but doesn't have to have anything to do with race. Generally though, only northern European people (such as English/Irish/Scottish/French etc.) continue to produce the enzyme to digest lactose (or something like that) into adulthood; most other people, esp in the southern hemisphere, cease to at about age 4.
