    3. Thank you Sharon, My father always said his ancestors were from Donegal, Ireland and "were here in Canada when the boat came over." However, it seems they were here for the 1841 Census stating Ireland as their birth country and the next census they stated Ireland as their birth country and Scotland as their Origin. My search is for the BMDs for this pioneer Bailey couple and their ancestry. They gave their ancestry as being from the original country rather than Ireland, which is where they lived prior to coming to Canada.
