    3. Thank you Doreen, I have this information. I have spent years at Cloverdale Library working on my maternal side and am now working on my paternal side. I also have thew 1841 census for Robert, Anne and William. I am at a brick wall now as Robert and Anne were born in Ireland and I need direction as to how to trace their records back to Donegal, Ireland via the internet as I am not in a financial situation to pay for research or copies, etc. Also looking for descendants of my Bailey line who may have photos and further info. regards, Patricia Johnson Bailey ----- Original Message ----- From: "Conlin" <conlin2004@hotmail.com> To: <can-ont-simcoe@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, August 02, 2010 2:42 PM Subject: Re: [CAN-ONT-SIMCOE] Robert Bailey and his wife Anne Bailey > > The 1861 Canada Census for Simcoe County, Orillia shows the following information: > > > > BAILEY > > " Robert - age 53, born Ireland, Occ: carpenter, rel: FC > > >Ann - age 51, born Ireland > > >William - age 21, born UC > > >James - age 17, born UC > > >Samuel - age 13, born UC > > > > Patricia, your Cloverdale library has an excellent genealogy section complete with microfiche, old maps and books of early inhabitants all across Canada and parts of the USA. There is also a genealogy group that meets there once a month which you might find very helpful. > > > > Cheers! > > Doreen > > ============== > > > > > From: patrace@telus.net > > To: can-ont-simcoe@rootsweb.com > > Date: Sun, 1 Aug 2010 21:35:14 -0700 > > Subject: [CAN-ONT-SIMCOE] Robert Bailey and his wife Anne Bailey > > > > Dear Listers, > > > > I am looking for any details I can obtain for my paternal GGGrandfather, > > Robert Bailey and his wife, Anne living in Orillia (Upper Canada) at the > > time of the 1841 Census. 3. You might consider joining the Rootsweb list for IRL-CO-DONEGAL or for DONEGALEIRE. Perhaps someone there can point you in the right direction. Hopefully from the burial of Robert's wife you have her maiden name which will help finding their marriage in Ireland. LDS Pilot has births and baptisms from 1620-1881 which may be useful to you as well. Cheers!
