    1. [CAN-ONT-SIMCOE] NEW JERUSALEM denomination?

    3. Good day listers. I have come across a reference to what would appear to be a religious persuasion that I have never before heard of. It's from a baptismal record in 1941, a Catholic baptism for a fellow born in 1913, who was converting from "New Jerusalem". I've googled and binged and searched around and can find vague references to this, but nothing specific. I do bump into references from it as being an Australian practice. I just wondered if anyone has heard of this before in their research? This isn't a fellow in my family, but just someone I "met" while transcribing some information. I'm going to look into his background if I can to see if perhaps he was from Australia; then I will wonder how on earth he ended up in this neck of the woods. Anyway - just a curiosity for a Saturday afternoon. Hope all are doing well and enjoying the summer. Deborah
