Heard on the CBC news today that the Sir Galahad Stature at the top of Metcalfe St. in Ottawa, was put there by Prime Minister William Lyon McKenzie King in memory of his friend ? Harper, who was attending a party on I think the Ottawa River when a young woman maybe named Miss Beatty, fell through the ice and Mr. Harper jumped in after her,to try to save her but both drowned. Sorry I do not have all the particulars.
