Hanover is near the former township of Normanby, Grey County. Since Anna's sister, Margaret Ditson, was born in Normanby Twp (according to her 1910 death record), Hanover seems quite possible. Perhaps the spelling mistake was due to a strong German accent. Nice that the death record also provides her mother's maiden name and father's place of birth. Do you know that Peter Graban and his family are listed in the 1851 census of Canada West (Ontario), Waterloo County and district, Ward 4, page 196? Good luck with your research.
