    3. Thank you for the helpful link to the Presbyterian Church in Simcoe. I just joined the list recently. I am researching my Scottish ancestors who came from the Red River Settlement in Manitoba to Simcoe (Gwillimbury) in the early 1800's. My ancestor, James "The Parson" Sutherland, was an early leader in the Presbyterian Church. My line comes through his daughter, Janet Sutherland, who first married Beth Beaton and then Donald MacDonald. I have been gathering quite a bit of information about my lines of Sutherlands, Beatons and MacDonalds of Simcoe. I would appreciate hearing from anyone else researching these families. I would also gladly share what info I have. The site below lists a few births. http://my.tbaytel.net/bmartin/mcmurchy.htm Heather Re - the Dunns - you might ask if there are records for the Presbyterian Church in Simcoe - births during the 1840s. I really exhausted it on Ancestry - going by name and getting very little - so I think another instance of the Ontario records not finding their way to the larger forums on-line.
