Hello Listers, I travelled from Toronto to Tottenham today with no real agenda other than to stop at the Tottenham Library to see what historical information they had on the area. After finding a few interesting things, I left the library and decided on a whim to visit a local cemetery that I had visited many times before, again with no specific agenda. A volunteer cemetery worker struck up a conversation with me and it turned out that his wife was related to my maternal side probably on more than one level. I am sure that we have much information to exchange by email and hopefully in person also. I still had some extra time so I decided to stop at another library in a different township. I noticed that they had several copies of the hard to get "Tottenham, A History of Tottenham" as well as "Tecumseth Township, An Unforgettable Past". The Head Librarian said that "they had just received another copy of each through a donation but had not catalogued them yet". I offered to purchase them by making a donation to the library, to which she agreed. The moral of this story is to just get out and see where the genealogical gods take you. Regards, Richard
