Munro: ISABELLA GORDON MACKAY MUNRO, my g. great grandmother, born about 1792 in Rosshire, Scotland, d. 27 January 1883 in Midhurst Arrived in Simcoe County with her parents in 1830 She is buried in Barrie CHRISTIANA [MUNRO] SNEATH, my Great Grandmother, born in Inverness in May, 1826 and died in Midhurst 13 April, 1894. She arrived in Midhurst with her parents in 1830. JANE RUSSELL SNEATH, my grandmother b. 20 June, 1865 in Midhurst, d. in Ottawa, 10 April 1944. My Female Roots in Simcoe County, Mother's line: HANNA [KIRKBRIDE] [MCALISTER] SPARKS, my g. great grandmother, b. Scotland in 1824, died Nottawasaga, Feb. 23, 1870. RUTH [MCALISTER] CASTOR, my great grandmother, b. 17 November, 1841 in Nottawasaga, d. 8 December, 1908 in Sault St. Marie. She lived in Collingwood until after her husband died in 1901. I can trace the Munros in Invernesshire and the McAlisters in Islay, Scotland but these are my Canadian ancestresses. I would love to hear from anyone who is researching the above families.
