    3. -----Original Message----- From: Sent: July-10-07 9:21 PM To: CAN-ONT-SIMCOE@rootsweb.com Subject: [CAN-ONT-SIMCOE] JETHRO ROBINS I am looking for information on Jethro Robins, born c1790 in England, possibly Yorkshire, immigrated to Medonte Township 1835, Susan Susan .. You and I may have corresponded, at some point, but I lost all my Address Book when my computer packed it in. HOWEVER . good news is that I salvaged my FTM programme !!!! Been looking for a while for someone with an interest in JETHRO ROBINS ... Try as I might, have YET to connect him with my ROBINS CLAN from Tiny and Tay Townships. Can give you about 35 pages of data on Jethro, and his descendants, that I have put together. If you are a family fit, there is a host of old Family Photographs, mostly unidentified, that I MAY BE ABLE TO POINT YOU TOWARDS. I RETURNED THEM, A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO, BACK TO A KNOWN Family descendant. Paul Robins

    2. Lauraine Syrnick
    3. Hi John: I do not think Muriel misdirected anyone. One needs to be careful opening any attachment. The general rule is to not open any attachments unless you know the sender! Virus & gremlins can be inserted into all sorts of files and attachments. The wisest course is to just delete messages sent by unknown persons and to be very wary about opening attachments. If you simply cannot resists attachments, download to a CD and view from that medium. Definitely use PDF files frequently but no longer use ADOBE. The program Foxit reads PDFs and is less than 1/4 the resource hog of ADOBE. 1. [CAN-ONT-SIMCOE] Medonte
    2. I have had no luck finding "Medonte, A Township Remembered" here in the states. Before I go through an attempt to locate a copy to purchase from a Canadian source, would some kind soul check their copy to tell me if there is any mention of a James Fox, born County Armagh, Ireland between 1803 and 1806 who arrived in Medonte around 1832. On the Settlers List there are 2 James Fox's living in Medonte. I believe the other Mr. Fox was English. If there is mention of the Irish James Fox I will pursue locating the book. Thank You, Patt Foley Maryland, USA ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

Author: 417Cindy Surnames: Stewart Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.canada.ontario.simcoe/2500/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I'm looking for any information on Abram Stewart. His wife's name was Ann and he had at least one son, Thomas, born around 1841. I found his name from Thomas' marriage record, and other than that I have nothing to go on. I found a reference in the Canadian Genealogy Index 1600-1900s of Abram Stewart Living 1858 Ontario Simcoe Co. but I don't know if it's the same man I'm looking for. Abram was from Ireland and I don't know if he and Ann emigrated to Canada or whether Thomas came to Canada on his own. I would love to find out any information about Abram and his wife (her maiden name, parents,) anything at all. I need to be able to trace the Stewart line back farther than Thomas. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I attended Barrie Collegiate Institute, in Barrie, Ontario, with Elwood Wynes, 1945-46. Seem to recall that he was a resident in Allendale, which is now part of Barrie. No relation ... just hopes that this helps. You may find that Norman George's name is on the Cenotaph in Barrie. The Canadian Legion, in Barrie, or the Army-Navy-Air Force Club in Barrie may have further info on this Family. Good Luck.
