    3. I just have to say "yeah" to this answer. I always find it a mystery why people should think that this information should be free. Many hours of long, hard work goes into the kind of information a site like ancestry provides. If you want free, order the microfilms from LDS and visit a branch....but you can't do that in your jammies! Erin __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? 2. Pam Tessier
    3. Dick Eastman has answered a question I get asked often. The reasons he gives apply to museums and other repositories of documents. Somehow or other, we have to pay for the hydro, the heat, the staff salaries, groundskeeping and on and on. Think about it the next time you balk at the price of having someone else do your research for you. And yes, someone also has to pay for the subscription to Ancestry.ca. http://blog.eogn.com/eastmans_online_genealogy/2007/11/why-isnt-it-fre.html Pam

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: KevinLong85 Surnames: McCOSH Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.canada.ontario.simcoe/2558/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am seeking further details about Maud E. McCosh, who was born in 1885, being the daughter of Hugh & Margaret McCosh of Sunnidale Township. Maud McCosh is recorded in the Ontario 1901 Census, employed as a domestic for Marshall & Margaret Stephens, at Glencairn, Tossorontio Township, Simcoe County. By 1911, she cannot be found anywhere on the Ontario Census under her McCosh surname. It is therefore suspected that she had married within the span of 1903 and 1911. Any information on this missing link in my family history would be greatly appreciated. With thanks, Kevin. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
