I would be glad of any suggestions, please: I've just traced my gt uncle Robert Thomas BURGIN, his wife Annie, his children Thomas and Muriel and in-laws Joseph and Agnes LOWES to Halifax, where they landed in 1904. Then I found the marriage of Muriel in Orillia in 1925 and the death of Thomas aged nine in 1909, also in Orillia, but none of them appear in any Canadian censuses online. Did families move back and forth over the US border? I don't understand where they've gone between landing and Muriel's marriage. A sister of Robert Burgin's, Maud Pease, did emigrate to Seattle in 1908 and she appears on the US censuses. Puzzled and in need of advice. Marion in England

Also, today my husband & I searched the Wilson Pioneer Cemetery (Concession 12 & County Road 27 in West Gwillimbury), there are lots of Cunninghams buried in that cemetery - high on a hill and you climb up through a bush to get to it - a real adventure. No direct relationship. I am a COOPER descendant, researcher, international data coordinator and archivist. I also help research connecting families and archive them. Two of my ggrandmother, Emma COOPER McARDELL's brothers emigrated to Ontario, and the family connects with the KETTs, the JACKSON's (big time, but I don't have these in my files at this time, my cousin's JACKSONs go back to England in 1814), the SYMINGTONs, the STEWARTs, the MILLs and a lot of other families in the Cooper's Falls and Orillia area. Since she does not have a computer I am helping her build her trees and archiving her info. Annie in Minnesota In a message dated 9/5/2009 3:08:28 P.M. Actually, this tied into my KETTs. I have a lot of SYMINTONs but hadn't connect John William with any of them yet. Annie in Minnesota In a message dated 9/5/2009 3:08:28 P.M. And the descendants of Lawrence Robert and Christena Margaret. Bertie was a passenger to and from Scotland in 1905 with his mother Mrs. L R JACKSON. They sailed to Canada on the SS Kensington, departed Liverpool, arrived Montreal. On the same ship there was also a 21 yr old Nellie RENNIE and a 9 yr old Mary Scott BROWN. All 4 were going to Orillia. Mary Scott BROWN was a 1C1R of Mrs. L R JACKSON. The first morning that Mary Scott BROWN was with the JACKSONs she was told to go out to milk the cow. Mary had never seen a cow before in her life. She had lived in a fishing village on the Fife coast. Four years passed before her brothers were sent to Canada through Quarrier's Orphan Homes of Scotland and they moved her off the JACKSON farm. Hope to hear from you with some family information. The available birth registrations for the Province of Ontario are available through Ancestry but only to the year 1909. Additional years to 1911 have been released but currently only available through viewing at LDS on microfilm. You would have to attend a Family History centre to view same for additional descendants not listed in the Canada Census. Cheers!
