    3. She was buried under her married name of Williams and died of consumption at age 59. The Ontario records are available as follows: Register of births: 1869 - 1911 Register of Marriages: 1801 - 1926 Register of Deaths: 1869 - 1936 I did not locate the marriage between Harriet Kate Gummerson & John Williams but as they were both Methodist it may be that the marriage registration was not filed with the Province of Ontario. There have been some instances where Methodist marriages were not filed. John Williams and wife Harriet appear in the 1861 Canada Census but the page is barely legible. There are adult children living with them: Mac age 35, Margaret 23, Henry 21, Harriet 17, John 15, Ann 12, Charlotte 10, Catherine 9. That's all that I could find for the time being. Cheers! 3. There is an Aaron Gummerson listed in the 1901 and 1911 Census living in Peel County. In 1911 Census his wife's name is given as Lucinda. According to Ancestry Aaron married Lucinda Wilcox in Peel County on 17 Nov 1880; he was a bachelor and his father was Matthew Gummerson. Aaron Gummerson's second marriage was to Harriet Jane Burrell in Peel County on 15 Nov 1915. I did not find any reference to Ann Limbert and I did not check for a variety of spellings for Gummerson. 3. I googled it & absolutely nothing comes up. Odd. I'd say it sounds Spanish, but that's presuming it was spelled correctly on the gravestone. My best guess would be it's the former name of a small island in either Lake Michigan or Lake Huron. And maybe the name is a twisted Anglo version of an original native name. ----- Original Message ----- From: "ladypatricia" <paron@bendnet.com> To: <can-ont-simcoe@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, July 08, 2010 1:46 PM Subject: Re: [CAN-ONT-SIMCOE] Isle of Paso Trudie >A grave in Michigan on Canada border had this statement Native of the > Isle of Paso Trudie > > Has any one any ideas???? > Thanks Lady Patricia > >> >> >> ------------------------------- >> To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to >> CAN-ONT-SIMCOE-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without >> the quotes in the subject and the body of the message > > ***************** > Ten People All Genealogists Should Follow On Twitter: http://tr.im/hBAy > > Simcoe Co. 3. The entry in LDS Pilot is much clearer than Ancestry so I was able to see that Stanislas' first wife was named Ursule Provencal. Also those in attendance at the marriage of Courtemanche & Guibord were Antoine Guibord, brother of the groom, Francois Goulet, his uncle, Joseph & Jean Baptiste Courtemanche brothers of the bride. That entry is at LDS Pilot for Saint-Roch-de-l'Achigan 1842-1848 Image 161, marriage entry No. 17 Cheers!
