    3. Hi Jane This (below) is all I know of this branch of my MORTON family. I'd love to make a connection with a cousin or two. James Alexander was a Barrister at Law and his brother Robert a sculptor (of marble?). When did they arrive in CAN? I'm not sure, but James and Robert were born in SCO, Robert married in 1873 in Brampton so there is a 23 year time frame. I have letters written 1891-1917 between Mary MORTON, a sister of #1 Adam MORTON, and her cousin Mary MORTON in South Australia where the writer says that Adam's wife Jessie crossed the Atlantic more than 30 times! I also wonder if there were more children born to Adam & Jessie after they left Scotland. I thank you, in advance for any assistance. 3. Glenys, I don't want to duplicate any research you have done, have you checked any census for the Brampton area? I have found a couple of references to them in the 1873-4 directory. Let me know what records you have checked then I will check my resources.
