Hi all; I have recently added some major new pages courtesy of the work of Ida Reed of Sault Ste. Marie. She has transcribed the Parish Register of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Sault Ste. Marie. A lot of these records are in Latin or French, so you may need a dictionary! Be cautious of spellings and translations. Covers 1870 to 1910. She has also provided me with the fruits of another large Project. This is a transcription of birth, death and marriage notices from 'The Democrat' which became 'The Sault Ste. Marie News.' These notices cover 1887 to 1900. This newspaper was in SSM Michigan but a lot of the people have Ontario connections, especially in Grey and Simcoe counties. **many connections to Meaford** In addition to these major pages I have added new links on my Early Ontario Records page for Voyaguer and early French-Canadian resources for Ontario.
