Hi list undated newsclipping, probably from the Durham Chronicle MISS ALICE LAWRENCE Miss Alice Lawrence, a native of Egremont, but for the past 25 years a resident of Cobourg, died in that town on Thursday of last week. She was in her 70th year. The remains were brought to Durham, and the funeral was held Monday afternoon from the residence of her brother, Bruce Street, the service being in charge of Rev. R.S. Jones of Trinity Anglican Church. Interment was in Trinity Church cemetery. The pall bearers were Roy Lawrence, Palmer Patterson, William Jacques, Thomas Harrison and Dolphie Lawrence. The late Miss Lawrence was born in Egremont township, and was a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs John Lawrence. She grew to womanhood in the township, but left this district over a quarter of a centruy ago. Surviving are 4 sisters and six brothers: Mrs Thomas Harrison Sr (Martha), Egremont; Mrs. Jones Harrison (Minnie), Detroit; Mrs William Guthrie (Sarah) Sand Coulee, Montana; Mrs. John Atkinson, Bender SK; Philip and William Lawrence, Durham; George Lawrence, Sarnia; Thomas Lawrence, Toronto; Albert Lawrence, Carman, Manitoba; and Arthur Lawrence, in Egremont Cheerio Sue (McCuaig) Visser Ontario, Canada
