I am trying to find information about Mary McInnis who married Harvey McQuarrie abt late 1861-1863. I think she is the daughter of Hugh McInnis on the 1871 Osprey Census, but I am not sure. The McQuarrie/McInnis links go back to Brock ON and further. Harvey's mother was Catherine McInnis married to Lachlan McQuarrie in Scotland/Mull. Mary is his second wife. Did he know her from Brock/Maple or met her when he took land in Osprey, as a widow, in 1858? A daughter from his first marriage, Elizabeth Ellen, also married a McInnis in Osprey, Archibald McInnis. Coincidentally, in 1881, there are two Elizabeth/Archibald combinations-one in Mariposa and one in Grey Cty. The only clue is a Catherine McInnis is living in the Grey HH as a mother in law. This is the name of Hugh's wife. Same ages, same everything. Any McInnis people have this link? Bonnie McQuarrie in California
