    1. [Grey Co.] Henry Cole, Innkeeper
    2. George F. Sanborn Jr.
    3. Dear List, What became of Henry Cole, born about 1821, innkeeper or tavern-keeper in Glenelg, his wife Mary (McLellan), born about 1831-1833, and their many children: Peter; John; Sarah; Norman; William Henry; Hugh; Angus; Archibald; Charles; and Mary Ann? They appear in the 1861 and 1871 census in Glenelg, then all disappear. They do not show up on the 1881 census CDs for Canada, or on the 1880 census CDs for the U.S. Is this an early case of alien abduction? The family were Presbyterians; the wife was born in Scotland, but all the others in Ontario. Thanks for any information at all. George Sanborn New Hampshire

    3. Hi George Just a thought could the Henry Cole located in the town of Durham in 1881 be yours? I know my ancestors changed profession and religion with each census. later Ida Census Place: Durham, Grey South, Ontario, Canada Source: FHL Film 1375896 NAC C-13260 Dist 154 SubDist A Page 29 Family 148 Sex Marr Age Origin Birthplace Annie COLE F M 60 English England Religion: Methodist Albert PETTY M 15 English O <Ontario> Religion: Methodist Henry COLE M M 60 Irish Ireland Occ: Carpenter Religion: Methodist "George F.
