It has been awhile since I last asked for help. I thought I would try again. I am looking for the family of Robert Thompson, b. 1823 in Ireland and died in 1881. Wife Catherine Ann Baldwin, b. 1836 in Ontario and died 1881. They died within four months of each other. They lived on Lot 7, Concession 8 in Derby, Grey County, which they bought on October 30, 1867 from William C. Scier (?). They sold some of their land in 1869 and sold out to Arthur Torrie in 1877. I connot find where they went or where they are buried. Robert is listed as Church of England and Catherine as W. Methodist. The children are mixed, but the last three are listed as Anglican. I suspected they attended St. James Church in Derby, but it closed in 1926 and I don't know where the church records are. Is there a cemetery? They left the following children: James:b. 1852, Robert William:b. 1854, Charles W. and John W.:b. 1856, Margaret M.:b.1858, Sarah Jane:b. 1860, Howard:b. 1864, Nelson:b. 1865, Albert Edward:b. 1867, Mary Jane: b. 1869, Martha:b. 1872 Jeanette:b. 1875. I cannot find anything about the children or where the parents moved or where they are buried, except for Albert Edward, who is my grandfather. Any help, directions, etc. would certainly be appreciated. Gerri Nordell Valley, NE USA
