Hi, I am trying to find out information regarding my great-great grandmother, Mary Adeline HAGEN MULDOON and her parents Owen HAGEN and MARY MORTLEY. Specifically, I am wondering if and how Mary Mortley may be related to Charles and Caroline MORTLEY. Mary Adeline HAGEN was born 21 March 1864 in Holland Township. I have not been able to find her in the 1871 census, although I have found her father, Owen Hagen. I have several documents that say that Owen Hagen was her father, but only her death registration to say her mother was Mary Mortley. I dont know if Owen and Mary Mortley were married or when they died, but I suspect Owen died before 1881. Between 1877 and 1881, Mary Adeline Hagen married Thomas MULDOON, son of Edward MULDOON and Ann PRIEL MULDOON, but I have not been able to locate a marriage registration for them, so I dont know for sure if they were legally married, but her obiutary says they were married. I am wondering of a connection between this Mary MORTLEY and Chalres and Caroline MORLTEY because they are the only MORTLEY family that I have found living in Grey County near Holland Township during that time period.
