Hi: You likely already have all this: From Directory of the County of Grey, 1865-66: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~wjmartin/grey4.htm HOLLAND TOWNSHIP. East of Garafraxa Road. Con. Lot Hagen, Patrick 1 25 Death registration below Hagen, Owen 1 25 GLENELG TOWNSHIP North of Durham Road Hagen, James 12 21 SULLIVAN TOWNSHIP Mortley, Charles 1 25 Ontario, Canada Deaths, 1869-1932 Record about Pat Hagan Name: Pat Hagan Death Date: 20 Feb 1877 Death Location: Holland, Grey No age, cause or physician Gender: Male Birth Location: Ireland Informant: Owen Hagen, Farmer, Holland Religion: RC Reg. # 003630 Federal Census of 1871 (Ontario Index) HAGAN , PATRICK Sex: Male Age: 60 Birthplace: IRELAND Religion: Roman Catholic Origin: IRISH District: GREY NORTH ( 037 ) Sub-district: Holland ( B ) Division: 2 Page: 19 - Same page as Owen Microfilm reel: C-9953 Reference: RG31 -- Statistics Canada You can now page by page, not indexed at archives.ca, the 1851 census. Go to this page and check off Canada West, type in Holland, click submit query. Unless you already have the entry or an index, you will have to go through each page. Find the Mortley family the same way but I looked for them in Sullivan and didn't find them there. Perhaps Holland. You want to look at the pages with the letter "a" after them as that's where the names are. http://www.collectionscanada.ca/archivianet/1851/001005-100.01-e.html Owen Haggan and other Haggan family members are on page 6A of Schedule A, District 11, Holland Twp, subdistrict 91, the first one listed when you check off Canada West, type in Holland, submit query. What may be parents James and Sarah, all born County Armagh, Ireland, Jame age 67 and Sarah age 64 are right above Owen. Owen is age 38, followed by Patrick age 30 or 35?, Bernard, age 25, Andrew age 21, Margaret, age 15? and the next family is Muldoon, John age 69 County Armagh, Ireland, Farmer, Hannah, wife, County Down, Ireland, all are RC. Schedule B for the area refers to the Agricultural info, legal land description, what animals and crops they grew and you can look for them yourself as I didn't take the time to do that. I didn't find any Mortley's but you should look yourself as I may have missed them. Perhaps they lived elsewhere in 1851 or if they emigrated, perhaps they weren't here yet.
