To all:- Census percentages of transcribing in various provinces as of time of writing are as follows:- Alberta-------------------32.48 British Columbia----------44.31 Manitoba-----------------71.04 New Brunswick----------99.93 NorthWest Territories---100.00 Nova Scotia ------------100.00 Ontario-------------------87.25 Prince Edward Island----100.00 Quebec-------------------61.51 Saskatchewan------------44.94 Yukon-------------------100.00 Why not transcribe at least ONE or more pages in your province? Should anyone be bilingual -- Quebec has a few lines not finished. It has been stated the transcribing will not be finished until April 2007 -- I belong to a group of 18 -- we say New Year's. The group way is "the way to go" -- with a person who will proofread what you have done. [That reminds me -- I have FOUR districts (many pages) to proofread in Alberta -- in Calgary. One tip -- many of the bottom lines of pages have many blank lines -- if you click on View and see blank lines starting at 31 -- that means you only have to transcribe 30 lines. Please Claim Pages at about 49 -- if at 5 or 6 -- please return to them. That is what is holding up 100% in some districts across Canada. In Ontario -- HINTONBURG -- Carleton County -- it is on notice to be opened and someone else can finish the pages and gain credit.. Also, in Ontario - Bruce, Nipissing, Grey, York South -- with assistance NEEDED in Galt, all sections of Toronto, London, Ottawa. Let's see what the percentages are like next week! Better, I hope Questions will be answered. Muriel M. Davidson muriel_davidson@sympatico.ca Co-Chair, Canada Census Committee http://automatedgenealogy.com/census11/
