Hi list I am new to this list so thought that I would just post my information for all to see. Perhaps there is someone out there who is looking for the same information. My gr gr gr grandparents were John McEachnie and Mary McArthur. They had I believe 9 children, but only 7 came to Canada from the Isle of Mull, Scotland. They came first to Vaughn Ontario, then to Priceville, Ontario and then finally to Proton Township. Although a lot of the family moved around Ontario, my gr gr granparents stayed in Proton. The 7 children who came to Canada were: Donald ? Neil who married Jane Robinson Emslie (Stayed in Proton) Roderick who married Margaret McIntyre (moved to Keppel, owen sound area) John who married Catherine Ferguson (my gr gr grandparents) (stayed in Proton) Alexander who married Margaret McLean (moved to Osprey township) Euphemia who married Archie McDougall (?Egremont) Mary ? John and Catherine (my gr gr grandparents) stayed in proton township and had 9 children. They were: Neil who married Sarah Fettes Christie who married Peter McEachern Mary who married David Allen Alexander who married Agnes McPhail John (moved to Montana) Archie ? Sarah who married Alfred Rowland Margaret who died young Jessie who never married If anyone has information about this family or is researching a member of this family, I would love to hear from you.
