Hello: Joseph J. BUCK b 1812 Leeds County, Lansdowne Township. UE, got OC for land grant in 1834. His grant was for St. Vincent Township (no County mentioned). He m Jane Seaman also from Leeds. had at least 2 children and migrated to Dunnsville. He is on 1851 and 61 Censuses there. Other children were born. At least two d. there. His wife died as result of a freak accident. He remarried and his trail has disappeared. I did find two daughters in the 1871 Toronto Census but I was not able to establish their residence.The girls were both m within 4 years. My question is: Did he ever live on that land? One daughter mentions spending some time on an island in Georgian Bay which suggests they lived close-by. I have followed the two daughters, one became my G/M Does anyone have knowledge of these family members ? I appreciate any assistance you might offer. Thank you. Delphine Large (Cameron).
