Hello Grey and Bruce Lists, Many thanks to everyone who responded to my search for McNeills and Thompsons in Owen Sound and Kincardine. I have been amazed at the amount of help and information I have received. I have even been sent photos of my Gigha-born "cousin". I can't work out her relationship to me exactly but have even been given an address to write to her grand-daughter whose relationship to me is Fourth Cousin I think. We share ggg-grandparents. I must say you have done wonders with the 1901 and 1911 censuses. I am very impressed by every reply I have received. Oh, but - one more question. Does anyone please have access to Owen Sound 1891 census? John and Susan McNeill should be there with their children and I don't know whether their son Archibald died on the 1882 voyage or was with them. He was born 1880 or 1881.
