    3. Mr. Ovid Jackson, MP [Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound]:- The Canada Census Committee has been informed there will be an announcement very shortly re census release. We know it will be a government bill, and as such, sincerely hope you will be SUPPORTIVE instead of just UNDECIDED. At present we do not know contents of the legislation - this is to be expected -- but we understand it will be complete. The Hon. Diane Marleau, P.C., M.P. surprised me today by sending a message of support, moving her Blue ? to GOLD. http://www.globalgenealogy.com/Census/Score3.htm#ONT [It may be several days before the change is made] It is hopeful you will reply POSITIVELY to myself or to one of the Canada Census Committee members at http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~downhome/committee.html Sincerely, Muriel M. 1. !0 years of searching....
    2. Kathy Hoeldke
    3. Hello Everyone. I hope everyone had a Joyous Christmas and a safe New Year. As I start out this New Year, I realized that it has been over 10 years since I began my Trek to find my heritage. I have seen others searching the same lines, yet I seen pictures of my family and yet it was only in passing. I worked so hard, I am not out to take from anyone, only to be able to seen or even touch part of my family. It has come to my attention that other folks are receiving the most wonderful packages of information and pictures. If you are a descendants from my Hastings line: Lossing, Tilley, Friest, King, Masterson, Holforster, O'Leary Brown, McAllister, Hill, Ironmonger from Yorkshire England, Glover, Barfoot, Purvis, Beaton from Quebec and British Columbia, Elliott. Durst, Colbeck, Ripley, Armstrong, Spencer, and many more My Sewell line: Sewell, Freeman, Cooper, Wilson, Miller, Crone, Sayers, Postill, Hazard, Stone, Whittaker, Gauley, McDonald, Hill, Clarke, Anderson, Harper, Boston, McAlpin, Eagle, Kerwin, Smale, McCausland, Mercer, Hayball, Hamilton, and many more.... What I like is to touch base with as many folks that come from either Grey county or Bruce ewho have these names. I want to touch base with each and everyone to hear stories of families, to share picture, sad to say, I have found very little of my Hastings family, which breaks my heart... because my Maiden Name is Hastings and Joseph Hastings was the progenitor of our lines... I've been chasing and looking, but never really got there. My line desends from Joseph through to Thomas Alfred Hastings. I am not seeking anything other than to know what my family looked like. My did gr. gandfather Thomas look like, what did his siblings look like. As with the Sewell family, so little that is tangible. I will confess as I was given up for adoption as a baby, I have little contact with either family. It a big world when you are are alone. Please Help If there are folks out there that don't have a computer but you know of them, please pass it on. 3. Leanne, call the land registry office in Owen Sound. I was able to get the history of the ownership from the time the land was originally taken from the Crown for my husband's great-grandfather's land in Bruce County in the same way. There is a small fee, and you may have to put your request in writing, but worth a phone call. 1555 Sixteenth Street East Units 1&2 Owen Sound, ON N4K 5N3 Phone: (519) 376-1637 Fax: (519) 376-1639 Eileen Wilson Markham, Ontario ----- Original Message ----- From: "Leanne Parsons" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, January 07, 2003 1:06 AM Subject: Land owned by Wrigley family > Hi, > > I am looking for the history of land owners of the WRIGLEY farm on Lot #31, Colpoy Range. Mary Ann Owen (b. July 1859 in Ontario) Their children (all born in Ontario): Thomas E. Todd (b. Nov. 1884) William A. Todd (b. Jan 1887) Owen J. Todd (b. Mar. 1889) Harold Todd (b. 2. Gordon and Sharon Dow
    3. Hello listers. I thought I should maybe repost the surnames that I am researching to see if I could stir up any new connections. John TODD (b. 1839 in Ireland) married Hannah ROOME (b in England - parents George and Jane ROOME). They eventually settled in Grey county (around Proton). Their son Andrew TODD married Rachel TEBBY and I am descended from one of their daughters who married Victor SMITH. The ELKERTON connection is through the TEBBY family. Does any of this ring a bell with anyone? Sharon in B.C., Canada [email protected]
