Dear Norma, I believe this is what you're looking for. I'm sorry for your loss. A year ago I was dealing with the loss of my mother so I understand how difficult this time can be. Best wishes. Judy McIntyre Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glint on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you wake in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft starlight at night. Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep. Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there, I did not die! Mary Frye (1932)
Hi Folks: My mother, Myrtle Ironside DUXBURY, passed away February l0th and I am preparing a Memorial Booklet to be mailed to relatives and will also be used at her burial in Sask. in the summer. I am searching for a poem that I saw on a gravestone in Duxbury Cemetery, Meaford. It is something like, Do not weep for me, I am not gone, I am the laughter in the wind ................. I was so touched by it, I took a picture, but at this stage, I can't put my hands on it. It is most likely in the Duxbury Cemetery transcript book or perhaps someone is familiar with it. I would like to include it on the last page of my booklet. Can someone help? Thanks, Norma (Duxbury) Haines.

Hi Larry, Do you have a middle name or initial for William or Christina? Look in the OCFA (Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid) There are three William Graham buried in Grey Co. but no Christina Graham. The right combinations appear in: Lanark Co., Lanark Twp. Elgin Co., Dunwich Twp. Wentworth Co., Hamilton Twp. Lampton Co., Brooke Twp. Carleton Co., Nepean Twp. Wellington Co., Nichol Twp. Dufferin Co., Garafraxa East Twp. Perth Co., Fullarton Twp. Middlesex Co., Williams East I know where Middlesex and Lampton Co. are and they are not near the Grey-Simcoe border. The others I am not familiar with. My great grandparents were Robert Marshall and Esther (Timney). (daughter of Catherine Jackson and John Timney) . Their farm was located on Concession 2, Lot 76 of Osprey Township. They are buried in the cemetery in Badgeros. They had children James, Henry, John (my grandfather), Mary Jane, Amelia and Eliza Ann. James married Annie Armour; Mary Jane married John Brown, Amelia married George Brown, Eliza Ann did not marry. These four moved to U.S.A., (Washington State (Chelan) and Montanna). Henry married Sarah (?) and settled in Owen Sound; John married Margaret McCutcheon. They settled in Markdale and later on a farm near Shelburne. John was killed when his horses bolted in l910. I am wondering whether there is anyone who suscribes to this list who is a descendant of this family or who has any knowledge of them. I would very much appreciate hearing from you.
Hi I am looking for information on an Elizabeth Sutton born abt. 1843, (not sure if Sutton is a married name, or maiden name). She would have had a son Archibald born about 1860, probably in Sydenham Twp. If there is anyone out there who has information that looks like it could fit this person, please do get in touch. The information that I am going on is from the 1861 census of Sydenham Twp. The family of Joesph, and Alice Martin. They have a son Joseph who is 15 years old, and there is also an Elizabeth Sutton 18 listed as a housemaid, with an Archibald Sutton, age 1. Any help much appreciated Cindy
Hello Everyone: I am not sure if everyone on this list know about the Ontario Vital Statistics Project so I thought I would post a note about it. The project has been on-line for 3 years and consists of thousands of registrations. We are far from complete but with the help of researcher and volunteers we are making headway. I am hoping that you will take some time to check out the site and hopefully you will find someone you are looking for. The site consists of Marriages headed up by Mary Crandall, Births headed up by Steve Marshall and Deaths headed up by me Paula Easton. We are always looking for volunteers to help transcribe data, input data and error check. Just so there is no confusion as I am sure many of you may know about the OntarioGenWeb project that is currently trying to get permission from Archives to transcribe the indexes, we are not part of that project. We are a separate project with separate goals. We are bringing you the registrations! Feel free to pass this message along to others who you feel would be interested, as the more people who donate registrations, time ect the faster we get the registrations up! Thank you for your time. Paula Easton - [email protected] Head Coordinator of Death Registrations for the OVS PROJECT http://www.rootsweb.com/~onvsr/ -The Project that is bringing you all the Ontario Birth, Death and Marriage Registrations free and on-line. If you have any registrations please visit our site and learn how to submit them to the project.
