I am trying to find a marriage for William Henry Fagin/Fagan/Fegan son of Thomas Fagan & Jane Smart. I came across a marriage to ? Rothwell at Sault Ste Marie on January 3 , 1901. This marriage I believe took place on the Canadian side of the border as it is listed in the Northern Districts marriages. William Fagan married a 2nd time in Michigan to a widow Jane Slater in 1908. William does not appear in the 1901 Canadian census, so I come to the conclusion he and his wife moved to the USA. At the time of marriage his wife was residing on the USA side of the border at SSM. Both were born in Canada. Maybe there are Rothwell researchers that could lead me in the right direction. I would like proof that this is my William. Thank you Joyce
