Hi Muriel: First of all, births are only available to the public up to 1907 with another year of records added each Spring so the one you are querying won't be available on film until abt 2016. I found the Ontario Death Registration for Walter Froud, Jr: Born March 30, 1910 in Ottawa Died September 14, 1911 at 79 Cumberland Street, Ottawa Age 6 months Parents: Walter Froud born Swindon, England and Eva Auclair, no place of birth given. Informant of death: Mrs. Walter Froud 79 Cumberland Street, and Dr. S. Nagle Cause of Death: Tuburcular Meningitis Registration number 010443 Death: Froud, Marie Nellie Died: December 17, 1910 at 28 Redpath Street, Ottawa Born December 2, 1910 Age 15 days Father: Walter Froud, born Ireland Mother: Eva Auvlair (sic) born Britannia Physician: Dr. R. H. Parent, 232 St. Patrick Street, Ottawa Cause of Death: Bronchopneumonia Informant: Walter Froud, 28 Redpath Street, Ottawa December 17, 1910 Registration number 010224 Here is the family as indexed at Ancestry.com on the 1911 census: Province: Ontario District: Ottawa City District Number: 105 Sub-District: Ottawa Ward Sub-District Number: 32 Place of Habitation: 79 Cumberland Census Year: 1911 Page: 29 Household Members: Name Birth Year Walter Frand Head January, 1886 Born England, emig 1905? Anglican Grocery ___ Felicite Frand Wife June, 1891 Not sure what it says for her place of birth, religion Walter Frand Son March, 1911 ON Her name IS written as Felicite, definitely not Eva, so Eva may have been a nickname? Please take a look at the actual census page yourself in case you can read it better than I and also in case I have misread any of it. Go to: http://www.collectionscanada.ca/archivianet/1911/006003-100.01-e.html Check the box for Ontario, type in Ottawa ward and select MAX for number of references per page. Click Submit query. On the page that comes up, scroll down to item number 26 which is Ottawa ward subdistrict 32 and where it says associated images, click on that and then select page 29. I use the ones on the left for .pdf format as I have Adobe Acrobat on my computer. Scroll down to line 15 and there they are. I did not find a death reg in Ontario for Eva/Felicite so perhaps they moved back to Quebec and she died there. Hope this helps a bit, Marg in Sunny Alberta Muriel D. I am wondering what happened to Eva Auclair and also if there is a birth of a Ernest Froud around 1918.
