Wendy: In Belden's 1879 Atlas of Carleton County, a W.H. Thompson is listed as one of the patrons of the Atlas. At the time, he was living in Ottawa (although he may have had property and business interests in the Valley). His occupation is given as "Retired Gentleman" and he was born in Ireland, although no year of birth is given. ...
