    3. Hello Everyone: I have an ancestor buried in St. Patrick's (I believe) but neither he nor his wife have a tombstone. Michael Deevy (Deavy) died about 1851-1855 and wife Sarah Deevy died after 1861. They are most likely buried in St. Patrick's in the plot with their son John Deevy & his wife Mary Foley. Does anyone know where I might find these burials or even just a map? Thanks a million. Bonnie

    3. Bonnie: There are Deevys and Kinchs buried both at St. Patrick's in Fallowfield and at St. Philip's at Richmond in the early days. The two churches are only about five miles apart but St. Pat's is in Nepean Township and St. Philip's is in Goulbourn Township. Both churches are shown on Belden's 1879 map. The location of the Deevy farm is probably also shown on the map. Here's the 1879 map of Nepean: http://digital.library.mcgill.ca/Countyatlas/images/maps/townshipmaps/car-m-nepean.jpg and Goulbourn is at http://digital.library.mcgill.ca/Countyatlas/images/maps/townshipmaps/car-m-goulbourn.jpg Some of these families were Roman Catholic and some were Church of England. There are also (later?) Deevys buried at St. Thomas the Apostle in Stanley Corners, between Richmond and Stittsville, which is also in Goulbourn Township. I believe the chances are good that Michael and Sarah are buried at St. Pat's and the gravestone has probably not survived. They would, however, show up in the registers of St. Pat's. This is just a guess though. The two maps above are large and a pain to work with in digital format. If you have trouble with them, let me know and I'll join the two townships together into one map and then just extract the area of the three churches into one smaller map. ...
