    3. Hi, Just joined this list in hopes of find some missing info about my McAMMOND ancestors. As these events took place before civil registrations started, I am trying to find the church records on the births of: Barbara Ann McAmmond, b. 1865 or 1866 in Nepean Twp. Her parents were William McAmmond and Sidney Irwin. William McAmmond, b. Oct. 18, 1836 in Nepean Twp. His parents were John McAmmond and Jane Foster. Would anyone have access to church records from this time period, or can anyone steer me in the right direction? Would also like to hear from anyone else researching this family. Thanks, Dorothy Quebec, dquebec@sasktel.net.

    3. Dear Dorothy; As we have many McAmmond's in our tree I must answer even when I don't see a connection. Our family were very strict Methodists so I'd suggest you look there. That is not necessary that your family were but it would be a good bet. Hope you find success in locating your family. We have one Barbara in our family born Oct 1; 1874 which doen't match yours. Also a William but that is a brother of Barbara's not a father. Wish you luck in your search. 3. To the best of my knowledge, the McCammond family of Nepean township were located in the Britannia Heights area. They were originally Methodists who later joined Britannia United Church. I believe you can obtain family records through the United Church Archives in Toronto. I hope this information is helpful. Doris H.
