    3. I, too, would like to add my 'public' thanks to Al Lewis for all his help here on this list and his site. We all appreciate your hard work, Al! I am going to take this opportunity to mention my interests, in case other listers have connections. In Al's message of November 29, 2005, he said: "If you are writing your family history, sometimes it's useful to include the location of your ancestors farm or locality in your document. You can extract a portion of the large township maps and include just a smaller image of your ancestors local neighbourhood. There is an example at www.bytown.net/tamon.htm " This link will take you to an image of the map showing the farm of John TAMON (TAMAN), concession 7, lot 15, Goulbourn, in 1879. John was the eldest son of original settler Joseph TAMAN who married, in 1827, Mary Jane HARE (daughter of Henry Hare, another (well-documented) early settler in Goulbourn). I would love to hear from any others who are researching the TAMAN (other possible spellings!) and HARE families. BTW......my brickwall.......is that John TAMAN (above) married Janet (Jane, Jennet, etc) WILLIAMS Sept. 1858....but have not been able to establish her parents. Anyone have WILLIAMS family details to help me? Enough for now..... Hope that these details will 'ring a bell' with someone reading this message...... Thanks again to Al for helping me in my research. Best to all, Judy
