    3. Hi Sylvia, The reason that I was wondering about 1854 as a date of birth is that the only Jane Russell Spence that I have ever been able to find was on familysearch and the christening date was June 6, 1854 in Lylehill, Antrim, Ireland meaning that for this to be my Jane, she would have to be born in 1854 instead of 1855. Older children on the 1881 Census in Dufferin, Marquette, Manitoba were Belinda, William, Walter, and Horace Grove. I was guessing that after that, the rest could have Jane as a mother.1901 in Stanley, Lisgar, Manitoba included Armon, Cora, and Benjamin James. Do you have access to any of the earlier censuses? 1861 and 1871 might be very informative, probably for Ottawa. Allan was born in Billings Bridge in 1876 but Violet was born in Manitoba in 1878. Should find Belinda and possibly other older siblings on the 1871..
