Hey Norma! How right you are! The Manwell's are relations. My grandma's father was Ruben Desjardins and I am at a loss to find information on the Desjardins from the Beachburg/Renfrew area that is the correct family. My gggfather was James Lang married to mathilda Prendergast (her ancestor, John or James prendergast, was actually one of the original pioneers of Pontiac County. I remember other relatives names on my grandmother's side, such as Clayton Desjardins, Schocks, Blacks, Whites, Stewarts, Isabelle (big Isabelle and Little Isabelle) Desjardins. My grandfather was Earl Walter Lang, his siblings were Russell, Lila, Ivan, Annie. How do you access information for these areas? I am so excited to have met you cousin!!! If you would like to exchange information on the family, I would be more than happy to share.
