Hi Paul, I'm not going to be much help except for giving you one name. My aunt worked with and was a good friend of Viola Galvin who came from Carleton Place. My aunt worked for the Federal Government and I'm ashamed to say that I don't even know what department she was in. It was in Ottawa. Viola never married and would have been born, if she was my aunt's age, about 1890. Sorry, but I know nothing else except that she made my mother's wedding dress. Good luck in your research.
