Let me explain. In the USA you can live in a TOWN which can be within a COUNTY which is within a STATE. For my g-grandfather I show a place of death as CARLETON PLACE, BECKWITH TWP, LANARK CO, ONTARIO, CANADA. That sounds like Beckwith is the TOWN so what is CARLETON PLACE? Thanks for the help!
