Hi Patricia, I have a couple Hodgins in my family tree, though they are distant One: Rebecca Hodgins (1808 - 11 January 1878), daughter of Mary Ann ? and Thomas Hodgins, married William Cavanagh (1798 - 5 May 1838) (my g.g.g.grand uncle). They had either 7 or 9 children. William was killed at a barn-raising at Thomas McCormick's, husband of William's sister Ann. After William's death, Rebecca married Andrew Deugo (1811 - ?), and they had 5 children. Two: Thomas Hodgins (1780 - 10 April 1853), son of John Hodgins, and second husband to my g.g.g.grand aunt Elizabeth (Betsey) Cavanagh (1790 - 18 December 1869). They married around 1832 and had 11 children. Both of these families were concentrated around Huntley and Fitzroy townships, and most were buried in Christ Church Cemetery, Huntley. I have the names and dates of the children of these two marriages if your interested. Cheers, Gwen
Gwen; Do you have the names of all 11 children - I would be interested. There are only 4 in the book of "Pioneer Families & Early Settler of Huntley Township". Mind you there are 5 from Elizabeth's first marriage to Williams Hayes. My goodness, the poor woman must have died young - that would make 16 children!
