    3. Greetings All. In my last posting I indicated that I had attended a town hall meeting put on by my MP, James Moore, and reaffirmed his support for access to Historic Census records. I was unaware at the time that a reporter for one of our local freebie newspapers was in attendence and heard my questions to Mr. Moore. This afternoon I was contacted by her and she has made an appointment with me for Monday morning to obtain information on our campaign and our legal action. She is bringing a photographer with her so in my own area at least we will have a little more publicity for our efforts. This reporter did another article on me and our campaign about two years ago. Community newspapers are a good means of exposing the Census problem and our efforts to seek a resolution to it. While they are primarily sources of commercial advertising, they cover local issues as well. It may well be easier to get a letter to the editor printed in a community newspaper than one of the larger publications. Calling one of the columnists and explaining the problem to them could well result in them writing an article that further exposes our efforts. This could work especially well for someone already known in their community for their genealogical or historical research. Should you manage to interest a columnist in the Census issue, and they want information you feel unable to provide them, do not hesitate to refer them to me by email, fax or telephone. My contact information is copied below. Feel free also to refer them to the Post 1901 Census Project Website at the URL following my signature. I would appreciate receiving copies of any articles that might result from your contact with these community newspapers. Happy Hunting. Gordon A.
