Hi Listers, Does anyone know what is the Concession / Lot numbers of the property on which the captioned stone house is located?. The book "Carleton Saga" says it is (located) five miles south of Richmond on the 8th Concession. Further it says that it was built about 1828 for Colonel (George Thew) BURKE'S son (James)Henry. Thank You, Ray, in Nanaimo.
Hi, Would anyone who knows please answer online because I'd like to know too. Ray, This is not exactly what you want but check out: http://digital.library.mcgill.ca/Countyatlas/images/maps/townshipmaps/car-m-marlborough.jpg this is a big map and 6.9 meg so be ready. The second lot from the eastern boundary of the viii concession is Henry Burks, as is the lot to the north in the ninth concession. These are in the north east corner of Marlborough township, just to the south of Richmond. If you wish to browse the site, start at: http://digital.library.mcgill.ca/Countyatlas/ You can also do people searches.
