    1. 1911 Census Records in Automated Genealogy Format

    3. To all:- We enjoyed our seven year battle for the 1911 census, but let's hope Carleton County will soon reach the 100% mark and complete the many pages -- our ancestors! Some genealogical groups are transcribing from the images and have their own sites for storage. These pages will be the complete images and the work has been wonderful. Very often, before checking for the images, the Automated Genealogy format will be much simpler. It is Canada-wide and as soon as a page is claimed, it is sent directly to Library and Archives Canada -- making it simpler for one to locate ancestors. Once located, microfiche is available at libraries or the genealogical society may have already assisted you in your search. Carleton County has reached the 43.26% mark -- Ontario is at the 51.62% mark in transcription. Let's join Lunenburg County in Nova Scotia and the Yukon with 100.00 %!!! I noticed there are many pages with only several lines transcribed. Should any reader be the guilty one, please do NOT claim the page, as other transcribers will be unable to finish the 50 lines. Keep a bit of paper and pen handy or use one of the available blank forms. Should anyone need assistance, please contact me personally -- should I not be able to assist, I have several upon whom I may call for more advice. Muriel M.
